It was a very hectic few weeks before our departure on 20 Dec, but we're finally off to the airport ever so grateful for the ride.
This is what greets us after 14 hours of flying... I think I was too tired to shoot straight so the pic is very blurred.
From Sydney we then fly up the coast into Cairns. A drive from The Bellevue Apartments picked us up and, here we are! Trinity Beach, about 20 minutes north of Carins. This is our pool at The Bellevue.
Once unpacked,we walked down to the beach and Esplande.
Trinity Beach is very quiet - this is the main part of town.
(I love my kid's feet and can't get over how much Conrad's have grown.)
There's beautiful flowers growing everywhere.
Once we got our rental car we headed into Cairns in search of Australian dollars and to look into some tour options.
The humidity and heat was too much for Conrad to bear and so we found the Fair Dinkum Barber. He went from Mophead to BuzzBoy.
The Esplanade in Cairns.
I thought this sign was funny but not the food. We did not eat here.
Conrad thought this sign was funny. We did not eat here either.
The hillside left of the pool.
The next morning we relaxed down at the pool. Conrad made his first friend.
Gecko was quite impressed with Conrad's shoulders.
Good way to beat the heat. Just toss the lounge chair into the shallow end.
We've been in Australia one day and what do we do? BUNGY!
The Bungy Jump environment was very pretty and lush, tucked into the rainforest hills.
and a lovely pool of water below the platform.
Out of no where, this kid throws himself off the roof.
The Wild Thing.
Chloe contemplates our adventure.
The crowds cheer you on from below.
If you can't handle the Bungy you can try the Flying Fox contraption.
Conrad goes for Bungy and is first to the top of the platform.
Off he goes, in perfect form.
He looked like a ragdoll, so relaxed.
I thought he was going to loose his pants.
Nice abs Connie.
Next comes The Big Duck.
He took an unexpected plunge.
Did I mention he's deathly afraid of heights?
